Cross of Hope School provides technology resources to support learning, communication, and community. This Acceptable Use Policy outlines expectations for using our website, digital tools, and school-provided technology.

Purpose of Technology Use

Technology should be used to:

• Support academic growth

• Communicate responsibly with teachers and staff

• Access approved learning resources

• Strengthen digital citizenship skills

Expected Behavior

Users agree to:

• Use school technology and networks responsibly

• Protect login credentials and personal information

• Communicate respectfully online

• Access only age-appropriate and school-approved content

• Report any technical issues or safety concerns

Prohibited Behavior

The following actions are not allowed:

• Accessing harmful, inappropriate, or unsafe websites

• Attempting to bypass security or filters

• Sharing personal information without permission

• Engaging in bullying, harassment, or disrespectful communication

• Downloading unauthorized software or files

• Using school technology for illegal or disruptive purposes

Privacy and Monitoring

To maintain safety, the school may monitor network activity and device usage. We do not monitor personal devices outside of school systems.

Consequences

Violations of this policy may result in:

• Loss of technology privileges

• Parent notification

• Disciplinary action in alignment with school policies

Accessing school technology indicates that the user understands and agrees to follow this Acceptable Use Policy.
