Safe, Enclosed Campus
Secure and Enclosed Grounds
Our Westside Albuquerque Christian school campus is designed with student safety as a top priority. We are located on a secure, enclosed property that keeps children safe throughout the day. The school grounds are fully fenced, and we maintain controlled entry points – all visitors must check in at the office before entering.
This means our students can play and learn within a protected environment, and unfamiliar people cannot wander onto campus. We also have security cameras monitoring key areas around campus, providing an extra layer of oversight. From the parking lot to the playground, every part of our campus is arranged to give parents peace of mind that their children are in a safe place.
Prepared and Trained Staff
Safety at Cross of Hope isn’t just about the buildings and gates—it’s also about the people. Our faculty and staff are thoroughly trained in emergency procedures and protocols. We conduct regular safety drills with the students, including fire drills and lockdown drills, so everyone knows what to do in case of an emergency.
Many staff members (and select community volunteers) are certified in CPR and First Aid, ready to respond calmly and effectively to any injury or urgent situation. All staff and adult volunteers are background-checked, so you can be confident that everyone interacting with our students is vetted and trustworthy.
We have clear plans in place for everything from a skinned knee to a serious emergency, and our team is prepared to keep children safe no matter what.

A Watchful, Caring Community
Beyond the fences and training, what truly makes our school safe is the caring community within it. Teachers, staff, and parents work together to watch over the children – there’s a shared sense of responsibility and trust that creates a supportive atmosphere.
Students know the adults at school genuinely care about them, and that helps them feel secure emotionally as well as physically. Bullying is not tolerated; instead, we promote kindness and looking out for one another.
During drop-off and pick-up, you’ll often see staff greeting families by name and keeping a watchful eye to ensure every child gets to where they need to be. Our campus feels like an extension of home – a place where children are not only protected, but also nurtured by a whole community that puts their well-being first.
